Terms and Conditions for use of the Nuguide platform
This page contains vital information about our terms and conditions. You will find on it (as well as the documents referred to on it) information about the terms of use (“Terms”) on which you may make use of our website platforms www.nuguide.education and www.nuguide.org. The two URLs will take you to the same website platform, whether as a guest or registered user of the platform. Please, we advise that you read the terms of use carefully before you start to use the website. By using our websites (the Nuguide websites), regardless of how you choose to access them, you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to abide by them completely.
If you do not agree to these terms of use, please do not continue, refrain from using our websites.
Terms and conditions for use of Course search, Content and information
These terms and conditions confirm your agreement to the general terms and conditions of the use of the Nuguide websites, the privacy policy and for use of our ‘Course search and Content’ service.
1. By using this service you agree that you accept all terms and conditions of this agreement (“Agreement”), which include
• those contained in this website’s general terms and conditions for its use
• those contained in the declaration in respect of your use of the contact us form
• the terms and condition for the use of the service as set out below
2. Licence to use the Service/Content
a. In consideration of you agreeing to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are hereby granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use a single copy of the Service on your own personal computer or mobile device in connection with your course information search to one or more tertiary institutions (your “Course search”).
b. You may copy or download material (by printing off individual pages on to paper) for your personal, but non-commercial use only.
c. What you must not do. You must not:
i. translate, disassemble, decompile, modify or reverse engineer the Content/Service in whole or part or merge it with other computer software programmes.
ii. adapt any modules of the Content/Service for your own purposes
iii. use the Content/Service for any commercial purpose whatsoever (online or offline)
d. You must not at any time publish or disclose to any unauthorised person any confidential information relating to the Content/Service, or any passwords or user names provided to you by Nuguide to enable you use the Content/Service or the platform.
3. Licence to use resources provided by you as part of your enquiry or survey completion
a. You hereby grant to us a licence (including the right to sub licence) to use all data, text, information, or other relevant materials which you provide to us with regards to your use of the Service (“Course search, Course or University information”) to
i. process, store and digitally or electronically reproduce the information and display it as part of the Service
ii. reproduce, disseminate and distribute through any media now known, or hereafter developed, excerpts of the data to the public or target audience by you as part of your course/university marketing, and any other agreed third parties
4. Reliance on information
a. Nuguide updates information regularly. The university/institution and course data contained in the Service reflects the most current information known to Nuguide. Universities/Institutions may amend, add or cancel courses/events after this date. You should check each time you use the Service to see if there have been any changes made which may affect your knowledge about an institution, course or events.
b. University/Institution and course names and other information contained in the Service are supplied for information purposes only and do not constitute any form of advice or recommendation relating to any particular university/institution or course for study.
5. Termination
Nuguide shall have the right to:
i. terminate your use of the Service immediately if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
ii. remove an institution or a university from its platform if it is found out to be fake or has its licence withdrawn by the regulatory body such as the NUC
iii. remove a course from the platform if its accreditation is withdrawn or found out to be unapproved by the regulatory body such as the NUC.
